A thought occurred to me today: How the heck am I ever supposed to secure my place among the super affiliates if I don’t provide any pics of my fat checks? I was reminded of this when Linkshare was kind enough to send me this rather impressive payment in the form of a paper check. I’m surprised it wasn’t sent certified. They might want to consider using a more secure form of delivery in the future. In any event, here is the proof:

A lot of networks are fond of giving gifts to reward their top affiliates. Common gifts include gift cards, TVs, the occasional hooker, etc.

But Smaxor over at Ads4Dough really took it up a notch this time.

I was minding my own business, talking about apple cider on IRC, when all of a sudden I hear a knock at the door. Lo and behold, Smaxor himself, along with a hired driver. I knew it must be important if he was willing to drive three hours and meet me in person. Naturally I assumed a felony conviction must be somewhere in my future. Boy was I wrong!

In the envelope he handed me were the keys to a new Mercedes Benz! I was a little disappointed at first since it’s only a C-class, but Smaxor explained that what with the economy and everything, they couldn’t really go all out for small time guys like me. I think I’ve sent around 10 leads through them so far this year.

Anyway, here it is:

The girl wasn’t with them, she just showed up as I was posing for the picture. It’s actually a really funny story how she happened to be in my neighborhood. I’d have her tell it here herself but she’s in the shower right now. Maybe I’ll save that for a later post.

Due to the huge volume of spam comments this blog has been receiving lately (all moderated, of course), I think this site is only further legitimized as an official super affiliate marketing resource. Thank you, thank you. Couldn not have done it without you.

Christmas is finally here. Finally we can get it over with and get back to our normal lives and our normal department store music.

Have you heard the latest gossip on Wickedfire? According to Ruck, Co-Commander in Chief of Convert2Media, his fantastic affiliate network will be changing its payment terms for the new year.

What will the new terms be? Beats the eggnog out of me. He didn’t reveal a whole lot of details.

“Anybody that has been with Convert2Media is grandfathered until Jan 1st”, Mr. Ruckman quipped, “and then I am changing over to a different payment structure based on volumes.”

So, in other words, the current payment terms are probably better. That means you have just a few days to sign your ass up with Convert2Media, and hope they approve your application before the Tournament of Roses Parade.

Now, I must crack open my 3rd bottle of apple cider (it’s not even noon yet, so don’t worry, I’ll be switching to Stella Artois at some point).

You may be asking, “Hey, kingofsp, this is a pretty sweet layout, and it is so functional! Are you some sort of php prodigy, or what?”

Well, believe it or not, this is just a standard WP theme that I tweaked a little bit. And when I say tweaked, I mean fucked up really bad. Then, good fortune smiled upon me, and Flewid was nice enough to save the day and fix the mess that I made.

Well, now I’ve got my theme in order, and I’ve got my affiliate links in the sidebar…I guess all that’s left is to start refreshing my referral commission stats. Oh, wait…I should probably photoshop some checks. Damn..this shit is exhausting.

I figured if I want this “super affiliate marketing” blog to be a success, I had better take care of the most important aspects of it first (the network affiliate links on the side). If I’ve learned anything from the greats, it is to never stop pimping out your sidebar with your favorite affiliate networks.

Now that I’ve got my referral links in place, what’s next? Hmmm…
