On My ShitList: VPS Outlet

Some time ago, ZenSix (a fine and respectable hosting company) sold all of their cPanel based shared hosting accounts to a company called VPSoutlet. This meant that the shared hosting account I currently had with Zensix became the property of VPSoutlet. What did this mean for me? Well, at the time, it appeared it didn’t mean anything except the annual invoice would have a different company name on it. Boy, was I wrong.
I use this account for a couple PhpBay sites and also for some software and a bunch of redirects. It is not by any means a hub for my primary web raping activity, but it is important to me, nonetheless.
I’ve had a support ticket pending with VPSoutlet since January. Priority: High. I have also attempted to email their support and have received zero response. Not even an automated response.
Naturally, there is no phone number listed. There is, however, a live chat button that always indicates live chat support available. Trouble is, the link doesn’t work.
Basically, you guys suck. Sorry to break it to you. You will get no link from me in this post, either. If you’re looking for a new, affordable shared hosting solution, look elsewhere. These guys are teh suck. I know it’s dirt cheap and I shouldn’t expect world class service, but there ARE cheap shared hosts in the same price range that actually know how to respond to a support ticket. Believe it or not.

I’m in the same boat and agree completely, they suck balls. I’ve had a ticket going since Sept 09. Couple of days ago my server went down (no $ sites on it). I don’t know why I bothered to open another ‘support’ ticket (Priority:Emergency).
My server is back online now but I wasn’t ever contacted so I’m pulling everything off it today.
I’m sure they will get in touch when it’s time to renew…good luck with that vpsOutlet.

First, I apologize that you had to deal with them. When we made the deal with VPSoutlet they really had their stuff together, or at least made me believe they did. Like you, they haven’t responded to us in over two months…

I was able to get in touch with the guy throuhg email at admin@vpsoutlet.com. He was a complete goober and promised me that they would have a new tech support team set up that Monday (conveinent, right?). Guy has no idea how to run a hosting company and his fuck ups have cost me a lot of money.
Hope you can get in touch with him and rip him a new one.
Cannot access my CPanel since a few days now. These guys are the worst fucking piece of shit company I have ever seen.
Same deal here, as I’ve had a support ticket open since mid February. Now my site is online, but cannot access cPanel or ftp. My emails also got unanswered to their support email as well.
These guys are AWFUL…my sites are on their “Monday” server which conveniently always seems to be the one that is down. It’s down as I write this. I HATE VPSOULET…I’m still bitter at ZenSix for doing this to us.
VPS Outlet down again…should have moved my shit last time, like I said I would…grrrr…

Totally fucking wore than useless. Just transferred all sites over to another hosing company as they had managed to block my ip from accessing cpanel or ftp. Now I am unable to retrieve any files as the passwords appear to have corrupted.
This, a week after my key site was hacked and no response to a multitude of support tickets. Well, there clearly no-one there and the server is not even remotely maintained. I just wish I’d realised this as, of course, if its left to rot things like this will happen.
I just hope everyone gets off that server asap for their own sake and then someone petrol bombs the thing up in flames. If there is an actual person responsible for this server (which I doubt) he can go fuck himself.
