How to Get Unique Content on the CHEAP
First of all, as someone who used to write content for cash online, I want to say that there is no substitute for QUALITY, targeted content. The kind that can only be done either by yourself (if you have the skills), or by a skilled content writer.
However, there are many instances in which you don’t necessarily need quality content. MFA (“made for Adsense”) sites are commonly stuffed with virtually unreadable content, often the work of writers who have practically no grasp of the English language whatsoever that charge very little. This content serves its purpose just fine. As long as there is a ton of it, and it is properly indexed, it is going to bring in traffic (if only from long-tail keywords).
Of course, in a perfect world, you’d be able to get higher quality content at those deep-discounted foreign prices, right? Well, here is an option you might want to consider.
College kids write a ton of content, they just don’t call it “content”. They call them “essays”, or “papers”. But a whole lot of it would make excellent content for one of your websites, right? For instance, if you have a finance related blog, business students probably have a vast wealth of original content on their laptops that they’ve accumulated that would make a nice addition to your site. There are several different niches with respective majors that work.
Of course, publishing the paper that your friend turned in last week may not be the best idea. That’s why I’d recommend doing this with older material, or better yet, buying content from students who have recently graduated.
It’s as simple as posting a flyer at the end of the school year on a campus bulletin board. We all know college kids need cash. They sell their text books at a HUGE loss just to make a few bucks at the end of the year. Of course when they see they can actually make some money off of the work they have already forgotten, they’re going to jump at the chance.
It’s up to you to decide what you want to pay for it, but most likely you can get away with paying very little. After all, if it weren’t for you coming along and offering them cash, they probably wouldn’t see a dime for it. It’s a win-win situation.
If you are a former college student, it has probably already occurred to you now that you can put your own work to use. Maybe school wasn’t such a waste of time after all?
