Well, I needed a good motivational post and I think I got it here. I’m a bit different than you in that I’m in my late 30′s working full time for a large company and honestly I really dislike what I’m doing. However, I have two great kids (4yrs and 1yr) and the job pays the bills so I’m kind of stuck right now doing something I don’t like to provide for my family. Been working on affiliate marketing for a while now and simply have not had a major breakthrough yet. Lost a LOT of dough in PPC so I’m scaling that back for now and I’m working on SEO (knowing it’s cheaper but a longer process.) Just have to figure out what else to build and what’s a good market for the long term if I’m going to invest time and effort into building something. Hopefully I can learn some more here at offwhitehat. Thanks for the motivation and I’ll keep you on my favorites list.

I wasn’t expecting to make a dime the first year i got into internet marketing, Im stoked that wasnt the outcome though. It takes time to see results. The new shoemoney system i think is going to be a great program for noobies..

yeah it needs time, its seo not shooting stars. sometimes u have to wait even a month to see the sum of ur actions

Great tips here. It is so true that you must work your ass off to achieve in this business. When you think you’ve finally got it, it slips and you find yourself working, reading, and learning even more. There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not figuring out or learning something new in this game. Thanks for the encouragement and hopefully soon I’ll be taking some time off too
